Welcome to my Gallagher Canyon State Recreation Area web site.

This page is all pictures and will  take a long time to load so please be patient. The pictures are taken as you drive into Gallagher Canyon State Recreation Area. The first picture you see is the boat dock. Then the next three are crossing the dam and looking across the lake. Then you come to a little bridge that is a spillway and there is one camping spot there. This one is before you enter the camping area so you don't need a park sticker for this one. I have made this map to help show how the camp area is set up and where the pictures are taken from. You can click on the map to take you to the picture you want to view.

Boat Dock facing south.

Looking at a boat from the dam looking south.

Looking to the south west from the dam.

Looking straight south from the middle of the dam. This pocket is great fishing!

This bridge is over a little spillway. It is just west of the dam and there is a place to camp before you enter the park. No park sticker needed here as it is before you enter the camp area.

This is the entrance of the camp area just west of the spillway.

Here is the sign telling you where your at.

Just west of the sign and a hard left  this camp site heads back east. It is a very nice camp site.

Stay on main road west of the damn and you will come to the signs of the park regulations. By this time you are rounding a corner and headed south.

Here is the Camper Registration and the first outhouse.

Heading south, south west around the camp area. Campers park here in the trees.

Looking to the right after the registration area you will see this hand water pump. This is the only fresh water out here.

Here is the second outhouse.

This area is a horseshoe area where large groups like to camp together.

This is a campsite just south of the horseshoe, across the road.

Here is another camp site. It is the farthest south campsite.

Another campsite on the south side of the park.

This is a picture taken from the furthest east campsite. You are looking east across the lake.

This is a nice little camp site, This is the furthest east camp.

Back heading north towards the entrance you look west and can see the road coming in and see the water pump.
